Our #ThursdayTheme last week was ‘Through the Window’. This was a great theme and you guys had lots of fun with it. We have a bumper crop of images to share with you again!
Julie admitted to finding it “traumatic” choosing our #FridayFoto this week! In the end she decided to show some huge love for this image by Andy Graham.
Here’s what Julie had to say about Andy’s image:
“You know when an image just speaks to you? This is just so authentic and charming – I love it. Everything is so real. The book sleeve that has slipped off the book, the bag discarded on the counter top, the hunched-over stances of the couple. I think it’s possible that this was actually ‘set up’ – if it was then bravo! It looks totally natural to me and that takes some skill.
But I also love that you have given your subjects so much space Andy. You’ve really given some context to the scene and allowed us to have a good look around. This image wouldn’t have been nearly so successful with a tighter crop.
And the care you have taken with your composition is fantastic. Those straight horizontals and verticals and the symmetry of the window panes. Just awesome.
This is a story-telling image if ever I saw one. I would love an image of me and my husband like this. Thank you so much for letting us see it”.
