Last week’s #ThursdayTheme was ‘At work’. When we look through the entries each week what we’re looking for more than anything is something with impact. You can have the most technically brilliant photograph in the world but if it doesn’t stop you and force you to look around and feel something then it doesn’t really matter how technically good it is, does it?
#FridayFoto this week is thanks to Donna Rigg.
Here’s what Julie had to say about Donna’s image:
“I love what this image makes me feel. Two friends with a real understanding of each other and what they have to do together. That look and that moment. It’s very special.
The exposure for me is just right. You’ve exposed so that we can still make out all of the features of your subjects but with no blown out highlights beyond the door. I love the light falling down the face and onto that textured jumper and also picking up all the damp hair on the dog’s face.
The stance of the man is so natural and relaxed even though I’m sure you posed the shot to a certain extent. And that takes skill.
And the rain! It adds so much to the atmosphere of this shot. But more than anything – I feel this image. And that does it for me every time.
Thanks so much Donna”!
Thank you to everyone who took part!
