Last week’s #ThursdayTheme was ‘Architecture’. The level of planning, design and construction is awe inspiring when you see the images this week. Prepare to be stunned!
Our #FridayFoto was this great image by Susan Miller. It is the new Forth Road Bridge in Scotland being built.
Here’s what Julie had to say about Susan’s image:
“Firstly – straight line where water meets land – hooray!
So much more to love than that though! What a fantastic perspective to capture this bridge from. Not only is it an angle most will not have seen it from but Susan has actually managed to include all three of the river’s Bridges in this image! So cool!
When I asked Michael Carver his thoughts he said he loved the drama and distortion created here by the use of a wide angle lens. I agree. I also equally love the drama in the sky which has been expertly exposed.
I’m so glad you converted this to monochrome – this just had to be B&W! It allows us to really appreciate the subject and there’s just the right amount of contrast too.
You’ve really composed this brilliantly Susan. You’ve left just enough space around the end of the bridge I reckon and you’ve used leading lines and triangles to great effect. It’s such an impressive piece of architecture and you’ve certainly done it justice!
Thank you so much for sharing it with us all.”
Thank you to everyone who participated this week!
